A privately held, family-owned and operated company, OCBS takes great pride in every project because, to us, each project is an investment.  We are a full-service  general contractor with over 36 years of experience in single-family, multi-family, mixed-use, mid-rise and high-rise developments.  OCBS specializes in a range of services, including structural restoration, reconstruction of aging buildings, structural retrofitting, above and below-ground waterproofing, commercial property services, historical building restoration, as well as general contracting.  Three decades in the construction industry have ingrained in us an unparalleled understanding of our client and project needs.  This knowledge and experience allows us to take your project from inception, through all stages of construction, to a quality finished product.

Kevin Franklin

President & CEO

Kevin Franklin, President and CEO of Orange Coast Building Services (OCBS), is one of California’s leading general contractors.  Opening its doors in 1982, OCBS has earned a reputation of excellence that is unrivaled in the industry today.  With 30 years of experience in single-family, multi-family, mid-rise and high-rise residential construction, Kevin leads the team responsible for superior quality building from San Francisco to San Diego.

 

Jim Ongaro

Vice President of Construction

As Vice President of Construction, Jim Ongaro oversees all aspects of OCBS’s construction projects in California.  Accomplished, with 30 years of experience in construction, structural engineering and construction management, Jim manages the company’s Estimating Department and Construction Operations, including leadership of over 90 skilled tradesmen. 

 

Mike Mastropietro

Director of Client Services

As Director of Client Services, Mike has been successfully maintaining customer relations at OCBS for over 20 years.  His ongoing communications keep managers and HOA boards apprised of their construction project’s status.  Mike’s keen knowledge of the industry coupled with exemplary communication and networking skills allows him to provide continuity and support; helping to bring construction projects to fruition.  Mike also acts as a liaison to developers and attorneys involved in the construction, repair phase, and defect litigation cases.
